Why are hamsters ideal as pets?

Hamsters are ideal as pets for people who are at work or school during the day since hamsters are nocturnal, which makes them active on an evening and at night, whilst during the day hamsters will sleep. Hamsters may be ideal for all those who cannot keep large pets in their property.

Hamsters are relatively easy to care for, odour from them is limited if the cage is kept clean regularly and they will provide hours of endless amusement with their busy and energetic characteristics. Hamsters come in an abundance of colours and coat lengths and there are several hamster species now available. Long coated hamsters will need regular grooming to prevent their coats matting.

Keeping a hamster requires a commitment from you to care for it during its life which is approximately 2 years. This commitment includes a routine care and time spent with your hamster. Caring for your hamster will go a long way to ensuring that your pet remains happy and healthy.

It’s really astonishing how such a small pet can become so tamed that it will even recognise its own name when its owner calls it! Having a hamster as a pet is worth it since it makes your life more joyful and wonderful!

i had a bugie but it died after about a month. it was really weird. we woke up and went to feed him and he was dead. hamsters are ideal pets. i have a longhaired syrian and this weekend im getting a roborovski dwarf! im also glad i dont have to speak french in this forum. for some reason i went to introduce yourself and it was all i french so i was like OMG great now i have to remember verbs and everything!

Actually, I have a dog...

Even I had a buggie, actually, I named him...Buggy. He was a fat, black beetle. I found him as a baby. Feed beetles green apples, they love it. Also, make them a habitat to live in, maybe a bit of dirt and twigs?

He lived for five months.

Anyway, I wanted a hamster..not anymore though, my dog is good enough!

I have a real hamster and it is so cute!!!! i just dont remember what kind it is right now. When i got my hamster, chypp, it was a day befor my birthday, and that makes me extra happy bcuz now ill never forget his b-day!

Well my baby hamster the mother died and so did the fatherso sad so i had to bring th baby my mother cat lusie . Once the mom died I had to give all of the babies to Lusie . Lusie was the only hope so I thought she would not eat them and I was right In the mean time the baby hamsters has not been eaten by Lusie . Lusie is the cat that is taking care of Baby Hamsters " She had Delivered 6 Kittens in the process" so I had to Help her give birth to her babies , now they are a 2 days old and cannot open thier eyes yet so I still had to keep an eye on the babies INCLUDING THE BABY HAMSTERS. yet now since there is so many baby hamsters and baby kittens I had to give the room they like and then guess what happened ?????????????????????????????????????? She had 9 More kittens . So now I took the baby hamsters into my room and put them in the cage so from now on the can drink milk from the bowl.

I like guinea pigs the best although I do have a teddy bear hamster. She is super cute
