I have a REAL hamster named Caramel. SHE is super cute!!!! My freind had a hamster named Dexa. She was cute but she died. But now she has a boy hamster named DAISY!!!!!!!! Wierd right?!

I know that hamsters are nocturnal. People say that they wake at night or in the evening around the time their owners come home. But nobody says around what time hamsters wake up. I know this varies greatly between hamster but what's the average time? I come home from school around 4:30 pm. Is there a good chance my hamster would be awake by then?
Also, does anyone have any intersting, unique, or cute names for a male hamster?

It is true that hamster are mostly awake during the late afternoon and night. But 4:30 seems kinda early.... maybe like at 5:00.
Maybe a good name might be Bubbles, Buster, Fudge, or Nugget. hope i helped a lot!

um..I would think a Syrin bedcause there not as active but if your home all day and you have time to let in run in a ball then any dwarf hamster would be good,but if u really want a good hamster suggestion then a winter white is ideal for anyone!

nah that was my first one there super hard to hold AND IF YOU BUY A BAR CAGE they can escape ..... mine didnt last that long maby about 3 weeks & a few day

but i got a new one last christmas

Hamsters are the best pets EVER! If you want a hamster, GET ONE!! My hamster does performances that I tought her and gives kisses. I teach her tricks and it is SO easy. She is really smart and is my best friend.

i was once very stupid i went on petfinder.com to find rodents who need homes and fell in love with a guinea pig named twix (he was only 6 months old... cutest thing EVER) and a ferret named jackie o. my mother said no and i wanted to cry.
